Our Term 2 inquiry unit has been around the Olympic Games. We have researched both the modern and ancient Olympic Games and the students decided it would be an awesome challenge to create their own Olympics Mini Games designed by themselves. They worked collaboratively in teams to design an activity using the equipment we had readily available in our PE Shed. They tried and tested their activities and made adjustments. In literacy they learnt how to write explicit instructions for their activity so it would be easy for others to follow. Then on a beautiful sunny winter’s day we held our games day which concluded with a medal ceremony. It was a fun morning and lots of learning took place along the way.
